Weight Loss Camp for Michigan Teens: Discover How to Jump Start Fitness at Camp Pocono Trails
Located in Pennsylvania, many Michigan teens are getting fit and having fun at Camp Pocono Trails weight loss camp! There are more than 101+ activities for teens to discover at this summer camp. Many of the activities offered will give your teen an opportunity of a lifetime to try new things like a challenging ropes course, climbing wall, aerobics classes, Zumba, water polo, and much more.
Camp Pocono Trails is a non-competitive environment where having fun participating in a sport and doing your own personal best is more important than winning. So, even if your teen has not experienced an activity before this is the place to try something new. Maybe your teen has been inactive and is not in good physical condition. The supportive staff at Camp Pocono Trails wants to help your teen reach their physical fitness goals. The staff to camper ratio never exceeds 1:4. Instructors in aerobics classes and on the field know how to accommodate the level of intensity for all campers so that each camper can maximize their workout while avoiding risk of injury.
At summer camp, all the activities are optional and your teen will be able to choose from many different activities. One day your teen may choose to workout in the gym or play on a tennis court or basketball court. Another day he or she may want to go from fishing to relay swim races. Whatever combination of activities our campers select they will be staying active and discovering physical abilities that will lead to weight loss. Naturally, a boost in their self-confidence follows! Getting fit is fun and at Camp Pocono Trails our campers return home motivated to stay active!
If your camper wants to lose weight they will have the most positive experience at the summer camp in the Poconos Mountains. Campers receive positive reinforcement to continually encourage your teen no matter what their skill level is. The staff are experts at building self-esteem and establishing a “can do” attitude. Most importantly, our staff understands that maintaining the positive self-esteem of our campers is a critical aspect of supporting them to achieve their goals. At Camp Pocono Trails, staying active is non-threatening and stress free. We believe in having fun and supporting all campers in discovering that physical fitness can be a positive, rewarding experience.
Weight Loss Camp for Grand Rapids Families- Do They Work?
Sometimes, parents reach out to us at Camp Pocono Trails because they are searching for a teen fat camp. We pride ourselves in being the top weight loss camp in the country.
The difference between a teen fat camp and our program is that we strive to create a positive atmosphere and never shame our campers. In that respect, you will never hear us use the term, “teen fat camp.” We are better than any teen fat camp in that we create success with our campers in a positive manner and inspire and motivate them to continue what they’ve learned at camp back at home
Teens and young adults Weight Loss Camp Education
Our weight loss camp teaches campers that fad diets may prohibit them from getting all the nutrition basics they need. While some fad diets or pills can produce some level of weight loss, as soon as you stop the dietary restriction or pill the weight comes back on. Often, the weight comes back on even more so than before.
Another problem teens and young adults often face is trying to get rid of the food they eat by vomiting or taking laxatives. These are very dangerous signs of a potential eating disorder. At our weight loss camp for teens and young adults, we teach campers the healthy way to lose weight and keep it off for good. We employ therapists that teach mindful eating habits and work on positive self-image and self-esteem.
