summer camp activities
At Camp Pocono Trails, we are always adding to our sports and activities schedules to incorporate exciting sports that have the highest impact on your child’s weight loss. Each day there are five scheduled activity periods, one of which is a “free choice” period where the camper can choose what they’d like to do from all the different activity options at the camp. These activities range from traditional sports like basketball and soccer to new trends like Zumba and mixed martial arts (MMA) to exciting zip lines. Regardless of the activity, every kid has the opportunity to grow and build confidence through team or individual activities.
Campers can enjoy:
Water Sports: Water skiing, jet skiing, knee boarding, kayaking, row boating, pedal boating, canoeing, swimming, banana boating and monster tubing
Athletics: Basketball, field hockey, floor hockey, tennis, volleyball, kickball, soccer, softball, archery, gaga, golf driving range, adventure and Odyssey course
Calisthenics and Fitness: Aerobics, step classes, self-defense, weight training, dance, yoga, kick boxing, toning, Tae Bo, mixed martial arts (MMA) and Zumba
Adventure Trails and Special Outings: Nature hikes, horseback riding, amusement parks and miniature golf
Cultural Activities: Plays, music, evening socials, drama, talent shows, and arts & crafts
Indoor Fun: Billiards, ping pong, arts and crafts, movies and video games
Regardless of the activities and sports our campers choose, they will benefit from the exposure to the fun and variety that can be experienced with children and teen weight loss.
