Best Fat Camp for Wyoming Families!
Looking for the best fat camp for your Wyoming child?
Need a Wyoming Fat Camp?
Wyoming has few if any fat camp options, or options for video game addiction. The renowned Camp Pocono Trails in Pennsylvania is proud to offer its Wyoming campers the Summerland Program. For the first time summer campers will experience how to achieve balance with technology. The new Summerland Program is specially designed for teens who struggle with digital overuse behaviors including coexisting issues like internet addiction, patterns of family and relational discord, sleep deprivation, weight gain and other consequences of unhealthy technology usage.
We can pick your child up at the Allentown, PA or Newark, NJ airport. Think about the adventure your child will have traveling out of Wyoming to the beautiful Pocono Mountain range. Sometimes getting out of town and going away to make new friends and have new experiences is just what it takes to help change unhealthy habits.
At Camp Pocono Trails, we address everything from eating right to nutrition, exercise, and we even have a technology track for those teens spending too much time on their phones or video games.
There are no Strangers at Weight Loss Camp, Just Friends You’ve Not Met!
If your child is nervous about attending camp, you’ve found the right camp for sure. We have a positive atmosphere filled with love and support. Every camper makes friends and is encouraged to support each-other. Professional staff like therapists and social workers ensure that campers get along with one another and that any homesickness issue is addressed head-on.
How Much do Fat Camps Cost?
When considering the cost of fat camp, keep in mind the cost of doing nothing, or investing in a fad diet or other half measure that does not work. The costs of “doing nothing” or half measures can be immeasurable. We already know the health effects of being overweight over your lifespan. But many parents don’t consider the financial related costs. For example, people who are overweight are less likely to graduate college, more likely to occupy a lower socio-economic status, and are less likely to get married.
Fat camps such as Camp Pocono Trails cost around 2,000 per week, depending on the camp and length of stay. Fat Camps like Camp Pocono Trails are all-inclusive, meaning that all meals, lodging, and activities are included in the program price.
Parents should consider tuition at camp similar to tuition in a child’s education. At Camp Pocono Trails, we are preparing your child for life success after they reach the age of independence. Parents can rest assured that we will provide the right corrective experiences to ignite a lifetime of health, wellness, and weight control.
Fat Camp Defined
A “fat camp” is a place where young Wyoming people go to have fun, make new friends, and learn about health and fitness while losing weight. Many young people up through young adults may benefit from a weight loss camp. These camps work through a dedicated program of diet, exercise, and education. At Camp Pocono Trails we call our program a “weight loss camp” as opposed to a “fat camp.” This is because we believe framing the issue with positivity is more helpful than using a negative term like “fat camp.” While we do use the term on this page, we would never call a camper “fat” at our program. We even employ qualified therapists to work on self-esteem and positive body image at camp.
We love campers from Wyoming at our fat camp. We are truly a fat camp for Wyoming teens, adolescents, and young adults. We can help Wyoming campers figure out transportation to our camp and ensure you feel right at home at Camp Pocono Trails!
Are Fat Camps Evidence-Based?
Fat Camps are weight loss camps specifically designed for the physical and emotional support of adolescents, teens, and young adults. At Camp Pocono Trails we provide a structured environment for kits to have corrective experiences so that they can experience weight loss success. Losing weight is difficult, and we provide the structure needed for proper education, nutrition, fitness, culinary training, and motivation to live at a healthy weight. The long-term results of Camp Pocono Trails are astounding. Our weight loss camp is so effective because we hire the top staff in their respective fields from across the globe. Some campers may struggle with exercising, while others may struggle with eating right or developing the psychological motivation to change. At Camp Pocono Trails we have staff to focus on all of these areas.
